The first day of the African Laser STD and RAD (F) Championship had 3 races completed, with varying wind conditions, around 6-10′ from 025 to 050.
On Standard, the winners were ALG (Kebaili Mohamed – R1), SEY (Govinden Rodney – R2) and ANG(Manuel Lelo – R3) showed that there will be a very competitive week, with the latest ending on first place at the end of the first day 3 races.
The Radial girls also had 3 races, with also 3 races won by different sailors, Khoulouf Mansy (EGY – R1), Aya El Zeni (EGY – R2) and Deisy Nhaquile (MOZ – R3), with the latest finishing the first day ranked first followed by the two Egyptians.
There were no OCS and only one protest, for a fleet of 15 Men and 8 women.
And a very relaxed atmosphere 🙂
